"Chloe is a American girl with Cuban heritage that lives in Arizona with her family: father, mother and two brothers. At the age of 2 years old, she was diagnosed with severe autism, level 3 autism in diagnostic criteria. She is nonverbal and she has restricted social communication skills, which means she has high support needs. Chloe loves water, going to the park to take in the fresh air and feel free, drawing, and dancing. She enjoys to play lining up toys or objects repeatedly and sometimes she blows kisses. In Chloe's eyes, we discovered a world of love and tenderness that changed our lives forever."

Predictable Sensory Experience
Bar soaps provide a consistent sensory experience, as they maintain their texture and scent over time. This predictability can be comforting for individuals who prefer consistency in their sensory input.
Controlled Sensory Stimulation
Unlike liquid soaps, which can be messy and harder to control, bar soaps offer a controlled sensory experience. The individual can control the amount of pressure applied and the duration of contact with the soap, which can help manage sensory overload.
Tactile Stimulation
The texture of bar soaps can provide tactile stimulation, which can be soothing and calming for sensory-sensitive individuals. The sensation of rubbing the soap between their hands can serve as a form of sensory regulation.
Calming Scents
Some bar soaps come in a variety of scents, some of which may have calming properties such as lavender or chamomile. These natural scents can help create a relaxing atmosphere during bathing routines, promoting a sense of well-being.
Routine and Structure
Establishing a consistent bathing routine with bar soaps can provide structure and predictability to the individual's daily life. This routine can help reduce anxiety and promote a sense of stability for autistic individuals who thrive on structure.
Independence and Self-Care Skills
Using bar soaps encourages independence in self-care tasks. Autistic individuals can practice essential skills such as handwashing and personal hygiene with minimal assistance, fostering a sense of accomplishment and self-confidence.
