"We have a princess called Chloe! Since the early age of one our daughter’s look was not right when we were trying to match her tender gaze with ours, which awaited her with love. That's when the suspicion that our girl was special began. We realized how special she was when time revealed her lack of concentration on certain things and her silence when we called her precious name.
Her tiptoeing made us see her as a ballerina. Our little dancer was immersed in her special world, where only she understands and we have adapted to guess her desires and needs. As she was unable to communicate verbally, our ability to help her became increasingly difficult. It was time to decide to seek help and we asked for a professional evaluation at Axis for Autism.
We received the diagnosis: Chloe has severe autism, level 3 autism in diagnostic criteria. This confirmed what we noticed before as she was nonverbal and she had restricted social communication skills, which means she has high support needs. God gave us the gift and the challenge to raise an autistic child from now on and we believe God doesn't make mistakes. He gives special children to special parents, and we are proud of the opportunity to be able to help her all the way.
Here is our little girl, full of ups and downs. She's very sensitive to changes in weather, food textures, her clothes and her skin. We started looking for products that would help her skin sensitivity but also be calming and relaxing to aid her on her most difficult days.
I wanted something organic, natural, and free of toxins, so I came up with the idea to make homemade soaps myself, using natural environmentally friendly ingredients just for Chloe. I made a few different ones, we tried them and they worked great, specially for her. Those soaps have changed our daughter’s life for the better. Her skin is now radiant, the fragrances are soothing, and her bath time before bed helps her find better rest, as sleep disorders are one of the most challenging situations for autistic children and their families. We know this first hand.
After using the homemade soaps for a while and seeing the incredible good results we got with our Chloe, we thought that maybe we could help other sensory sensitive people as well. I decided to create Chloefly.com offering homemade soaps. We are confident that our artisanal products, made with so much love, will help many families with the same needs.
This is a legacy for Chloe’s future and it is pure love from our family to yours!"
